Samuel L. Jackson planned to get a college degree at Morehouse College in Georgia. He decided to join an acting class in that school for extra credits, but he instantly fell in love with it. In 1972, he landed his first role in the movie Together for Days. During the ‘70s, he appeared in different films and TV shows, while he was also suffering from addiction. In the early ‘80s, his addiction affected his work. Thankfully, he managed to get clean again in the early ‘90s.

Due to his sobriety, he landed numerous roles in blockbuster movies including Jurassic Park, and Patriot Games. His career skyrocketed ever since he came clean with addiction. Recently, he appeared in the movie Spider-Man: Far from Home as Nick Fury. Today, Samuel L. Jackson is 70 years old, has participated in at least 125 movies, has a net worth of $2.2 billion, and has no plans to stop working.
