CHRIS CORNELL
Another great artist who went too soon was Chris Cornell. He was one of music’s greats, his work as a singer-songwriter and as the frontman for Soundgarden, as well as Audioslave, has influenced many of his contemporaries. He has received numerous accolades throughout his career, including being touted as one of rock’s greatest vocalists. Chris has also won a total of three Grammy awards for his work. Aside from music, fans of the artist also followed his personal beliefs, with many being inspired by his free-thinking nature. His final song credit was for the single, The Promise.
After ending his first marriage, Chris found it hard to move on and sought help from bad vices. Although he managed to recover, he still suffered from different discomforts and conditions. Chris also helped others, who had been through the same thing him, to their recovery process by supporting the MusiCares MAP Fund, which he was honored with a Stevie Ray Vaughn Award. However, he passed away in 2017 at the age of 52.
